  10. This is the demo for IndyCar Racing by Papyrus Publishing.
  11. To install the demo on your hard drive, type "A:INSTALL" (or "B:INSTALL")
  12. at the DOS prompt.  After the demo extracts type "INDYCAR" and the demo will
  13. start.
  14.  
  15. The demo is a replay of the end of a race at Laguna Seca Raceway in
  16. California, USA.  At any time during the demo, you can press a key and the
  17. demo will stop.  (It will restart after a period of inactivity.)  You can move
  18. between the VCR controls with a joystick or the arrow keys.  Here are the
  19. various controls:
  20.  
  21.     "Camera Icon" = Selecting this icon will scroll between all the
  22.             different camera angles you can view.
  23.  
  24.     "Car Icon"    =    This icon will scroll you through the different cars.
  25.  
  26.     " |< "          =    This icon will take you to the beginning of the
  27.             replay.
  28.  
  29.     " << "        =    This icon will rewind and step back through the
  30.             replay frames.
  31.  
  32.     " |> "        =    This icon will pause/play the replay.
  33.  
  34.     " >> "        =    This icon will fast forward and step forward through
  35.             the replay.

  37. You can also use the following hot keys:

  39.     "SPACE"       =    Stops and starts the replay.
  40.  
  41.     " < "         =    Steps back through the replay.
  42.  
  43.     " > "         = Steps forward through the replay.

  46. Troubleshooting:
  47.  
  48. If you have any trouble running the demo, try a clean boot, either
  49. with a boot disk or a clean configuration.  Also, if you have two joysticks,
  50. make sure you have both joysticks plugged in or disable one of the joystick
  51. ports.

  53. Again, make sure you have installed the demo in a clean directory.
  54. Make sure the only .dat file in that directory is the data.dat from the 
  55. demo.

  57. To obtain engine noises and digital sound, you must have a Sound Blaster /
  58. Adlib compatible FM card.
